Anjali Anand reveals Shibani Dandekar secretly auditioned her for 'Dabba Cartel' at 1 AM

After earning praise for her role in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', Anjali Anand is now captivating audiences as Shahida in 'Dabba Cartel', where she plays one of the five lead characters. Interestingly, she recently revealed that she joined the project just four days before filming began.
Impressed by Anjali Anand’s performance in RARKPK, Shibani Dandekar decided to replace the originally cast actress and secretly auditioned Anjali at 1 AM. She reportedly urged everyone to trust her decision.
In a conversation with SCREEN, Anjali Anand shared an intriguing story about how she landed her role in Dabba Cartel. She revealed that she was cast just four days before filming began, even though the entire cast had already been finalized.
She revealed that after watching her performance in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', Shibani Dandekar realized she had made a mistake in her initial casting decision. Convinced that Anjali was the perfect fit for the role of Shahida, Shibani faced initial resistance to her suggestion.
Anjali shared that Shibani secretly instructed the casting director to reach out to her. She recalled being on her way to Mumbai when her car unexpectedly had a flat tire.
As soon as the casting director mentioned that the project was a Netflix show produced by Excel Entertainment and that she would be one of the five lead characters, Anjali instantly agreed. She admitted she didn’t even need to read the script before saying yes.
Anjali further revealed that Shibani secretly arranged her audition, which took place at 1 AM. Shibani urged everyone to trust her instincts.
For the audition, Anjali was given a scene from the fifth episode without reading any other parts of the script. However, as soon as she began performing, everyone was convinced that Shibani had made the right choice. Anjali expressed her gratitude for landing the role of Shahida, believing she was in the right place at the right time.
