With Aashiqui 2’s successful run, Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series is expanding its production portfolio with an impressive lineup of films. Earlier, the company made a film at a time. Now, they plan to release one every alternate month, starting January 2014, all belonging to different genres. First off is
Yaariyan, helmed by Bhushan’s wife Divya Khosla Kumar.
Featuring a new, young cast, it releases Jan 31. Next, T-Series revives
Bhoothnath 2 in association with BR Chopra’s banner. Featuring Boman Irani and
Amitabh Bachchan, the film is due to release April 11.
Then, there’s Vikram Bhatt’s sci-fi thriller
Creature 3D, with
Bipasha Basu and Imran Abbas, on May 30. Up next on June 20 is Roy, a romantic action drama with
Ranbir Kapoor,
Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez. Then there’s Umesh Shukla’s next, a humour-tinged social father-son drama, starring AB Jr and Rishi Kapoor.
And that’s just the first half of the year! A sequel to
Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, made in association with Vishesh Films and starring Emraan Hashmi, has already been announced. Also on the anvil are films with
Madhur Bhandarkar, Milan Luthria and Mohit Suri. Scripting for these films is underway.
“Right from family relationships to friendships, from sci-fi to con films, we want our audience to enjoy different subjects,” concludes the producer.
