Dhanush returns to Varanasi for another film shoot

The film Raanjhanaa’s team of director Aanand L Rai and actor Dhanush were in Varanasi for a brief shooting spell for their next project, Tere Ishk Mein. Nandeshwar Ghat, the location of the shoot, was transformed into a cremation ghat with props like temples, logs of wood and fire, giving it the feel of the Manikarnika Ghat. Dhanush was spotted enacting a funeral scene, in a boy-next-door attire. The shooting went on till late in the night.

Earlier, the actor was also spotted in the lanes near Gai Ghat, where some scenes of the film were also canned. Several sadhus were also part of the shoot. Director Aanand L Rai was also seen in discussion with writer Himanshu Sharma at the location. Aanand L Rai and Dhanush also visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple before the start of the Varanasi leg of shooting. Aanand’s outing in the city also included a visit to the famous chai shop, Laxmi Chai in Chowk area.

The actor and director duo had earlier shot their film Raanjhanaa more than a decade ago in Varanasi and had spent a considerable time in the city.
