Himesh Reshammiya reacts to the similarities between Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' and 'Badass Ravi Kumar': 'If there is a similarity with something good..'

Himesh Reshammiya addressed comparisons of his character in 'Badass Ravi Kumar' to Ranbir Kapoor's look in 'Animal'. He stated that the similarities might be due to the beard and retro look. Despite the comparisons, Himesh emphasized unique elements in his film, such as the chain-saw scene.

Himesh Reshammiya's 'Badass Ravi Kumar' became a huge rage on the internet as fans couldn't stop gushing over the film and it's massy dialogues. Meanwhile, even the songs went viral, especially 'Dil Ke Taj Mahal Mein'. However, people found Himesh's look and attitude in the film, similar to that of Ranbir Kapoor in 'Animal'. The singer, composer, actor has now reacted to these comparisons.
He added that there are some elements in 'Badass Ravi Kumar' which are not there in any other movie. He said during a chat with Pinkvilla, "Actually, woh chain-saw wala toh koi bhi film me nhi tha. (The chain-saw scene in the film isn’t there in any other movie). But of course, humney kahin na kahin jo retro andaaz rakha tha uskey liye… baal bhi lambe they, woh retro andaaz tha. (But of course, we maintained the retro look of the character, for which his hair is also long.)"
He felt that the similarities may only be due to the long beard which both the characters carried. “Animal toh current film hai but kahin na kahin woh beard, ek conventional look jo aaj chal raha hai, toh ek similarity hogi. Aur mujhey lag raha hai agar ek achi cheez se similarity ho bhi toh koi problem nahi hai. (Animal is a current film, but there is a similarity because of the beard and the conventional look that’s in trend today. I feel that if there is a similarity with something good, then there’s no problem)," he said.
Apart from Himesh, 'Badass Ravi Kumar' also stars Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Mohan Joshi, Raza Murad and others.
