Nushrratt, Amruta , and More Attend Chhorii 2 Premiere in Style
Following the success of 'Chhorii' in 2021, the sequel, 'Chhorii 2', directed by Vishal Furia, premiered on OTT on April 11, 2025. The original film was praised for its unique horror elements and its focus on the issue of female infanticide. Recently, a special screening of 'Chhorii 2' was held in the city.

The event saw the presence of several celebrities, including Pashmina Roshan, Tasneem Bharucha, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Tanvir Bharucha, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Angad Bedi, and Neha Dhupia. The highly anticipated sequel continues the gripping tale of horror and societal evils, with Nushrratt reprising her role as Sakshi and Soha joining the cast in a pivotal role.

Plot of 'Chhorii 2'
'Chhorii 2' picks up seven years after the events of the first film, with Sakshi now a mother fighting to save her daughter, Ishani, from an evil supernatural force. Ishani has been kidnapped by a menacing cult as part of an age-old sacrificial ritual. The cult, led by a shadowy figure named Daasi Maa, seeks to use Ishani in a ritual marriage to ensure prosperity for the village. Sakshi must navigate this dark world to rescue her daughter, aided by her cop friend Samar. The film also features Pallavi Ajay and Kuldeep Sareen in pivotal roles.
Nushrratt Bharuccha on Her Career
Talking to PTI, Nushrratt reflected on how her career transformed after the success of 'Chhorii' in 2021. She shared, “After Chhorii, I’ve had Janhit Mein Jaari and Akelli and now I've two-three other films, which I don't know how it happened, it's not like I'm going out there and choosing those films, I'm not. I'm very happy doing other films and other parts also. But somehow it's (Chhorii) changed audiences and trade perception of me, a mixture of that is bringing more scripts that way".
