He mentioned that the film is already set for a major Telugu release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through Sri Venkateswara Creations, making a remake uncertain.

L2: Empuraan, released on March 27, 2025, is the much-awaited sequel to the 2019 Malayalam action thriller Lucifer. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film follows Stephen Nedumpally, aka Khureshi Ab’raam, played by Mohanlal.
