Johnny Lever to act in a Tulu film

The latest Bollywood actor to try his hands at different language films is Johnny Lever. The actor has a special appearance in the Tulu film Rang, which is being directed by Vismaya Vinayak and Suhan, and is produced by Kateeleshwari combines. The actor is currently in Mangalore to shoot for the film.
Johnny, who is known for his comic roles in Bollywood, will also be shooting for a song for Rang.The shooting of the film is almost complete and only Johnny’s portions are left to be shot. Sources have revealed that Johnny apparently knows how to speak Tulu since he has had several Mangalorean neighbours.
During the press release for the film that was held in Mangalore earlier this week, Johnny was asked why he chose to work in a Tulu film, when Telugu is his mother tongue. Johnny simply replied that he did this because he loves Tulu people. The actor has not worked in any of the major south Indian languages.
