Arun Chandu, who is donning the cap of director for ‘Sajan Bakery Since 1962’, has handpicked the cast of the film. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, the director speaks about choosing KB Ganesh Kumar to play a pivotal character in ‘Sajan Bakery Since 1962’.
“Nowadays, most of the time, we have seen KB Ganesh Kumar sir playing either a politician or a cop, but ‘Sajan Bakery Since 1962’ has something fresh to offer,” Arun Chandu said assuring that the actor is in the film for a cause.
Furthermore, the director added, "I am a huge admirer of filmmaker KG George’s works. I am a fan of ‘Irakal’ and always wanted to work with KB Ganesh Kumar. He is quite an astonishing performer and he has an eclectic taste for humor. ‘Sajan Bakery Since 1962’ has tried to explore the light-hearted side of him. Ganesh Kumar sir will be playing the role of Bobin (Aju Varghese) and Betsy’s (Lena) uncle (Ammachan) in the film. And I think our movie will be bringing him back in a chucklesome avatar after a while."
The director signs off by adding that K Ganesh Kumar has performed the character with grace and perfection and hence it would be an amusing watch.
