‘Identity’ teaser: Tovino hunts for a square-faced culprit in a gripping thriller with ‘Tenet’-style visuals

After the success of ‘7th Day’ and ‘Forensic’, the director duo Akhil Paul and Anas Khan are all set to thrill the audiences with the upcoming Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Identity’. The makers recently unveiled the teaser for the film which promises a stylish thriller infused with stunning action sequences.

Tovino took to his Twitter to unveil the teaser for ‘Identity’. He Tweeted, “Chasing the shadows of an elusive #IDENTITY TEASER OUT NOW !!” Prithviraj Sukumaran who was the lead in Anas and Akhil’s ‘7th Day’ also shared the teaser for the film and penned a Tweet that read, “It’s been a privilege to have been part of this team’s journey at various stages of the careers. Presenting the teaser of #IDENTITY. All the best to @ttovino , @trishtrashers , #VinayRai , #AkhilPaul, #AnasKhan, #RajuMalliath, #DrRoyCJ and the entire team!.”

The teaser is packed with stunning visuals and also promises a unique mystery storyline. The major highlight of the teaser is the ‘Tenet’ inspired reverse shot.

‘Identity’s teaser starts with an interrogation scene where Tovino asks Trisha’s character on whether she can identify the culprit. Trisha’s character who has a photographic memory says, “Pentagonal shape. On a square-shaped face, he had a chin that extended down like a fifth corner.” Throughout the teaser, Trisha’s description of the culprit is played frequently, hinting at its relevance.
Overall ‘Identity’s teaser looks promising and the background score by Jakes Bejoy adds another layer of thrill to it.
Apart from Tovino Thomas and Trisha, ‘Identity’ also features the actors Aju Varghese, Madonna Sebastian, Mamta Mohandas, Vinay Rai and many others in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Tovino has another highly anticipated film in the pipeline, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial ‘L2: Empuraan’, starring Mohanlal in the lead.
