‘L2: Empuraan’ Update! Mohanlal-Prithviraj film’s first show to begin at 6 AM

The much-awaited ‘L2: Empuraan’ has finally dropped a major update! Prithviraj Sukumaran took to Instagram to confirm that the first show of the Mohanlal-starrer will begin at 6:00 AM IST on March 27, 2025, with global screenings starting at corresponding time zones.

Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a new poster featuring Mohanlal standing before a crowd of police officers, media personnel, and the general public, and wrote, “The first day, first show of #L2E #Empuraan will start at 6:00 AM IST on the 27th of March 2025. Shows across the world will start at the corresponding time in respective time zones. Stay tuned for further details!”

Meanwhile, on the last day, Mohanlal introduced a new distributor for the film, confirming Gokulam Movies' involvement. He wrote to Instagram, “Team #L2E #Empuraan is delighted to announce our association with the trail-blazing market leaders Gokulam Movies to bring this magnum opus to the screens. A special thanks to Shri. Gokulam Gopalan for showing immense faith and confidence in our team and the film we have created. 27th of March 2025, EMPURAAN, the Lucifer franchise's 2nd instalment, hits theatres worldwide! Earlier, to counter speculation about a possible delay, the makers had shared another poster quoting The Usual Suspects: “The greatest trick the DEVIL ever pulled..was convincing the world he doesn’t exist!”—an indirect response to rumors of a postponed release.
With new updates rolling in, anticipation is at an all-time high for this pan-Indian spectacle, releasing in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
Expectations are quite high for the second installment of ‘Lucifer’. The movie is expected to be a game changer in Mollywood and also the comeback of Mohanlal who had several underwhelming films recently.
