Ever since filmmaker Milind Lele announced his lead
Amitabh Bachchan and
Vikram Gokhale to come together for his much-awaited film, 'AB aani CD', it has been trending and making news for all the right reasons. This film is about two friends and the bond they share as they age. After shooting for days and months, which were full of fun and hard work, the time has come for star cast to bid adieu to their cast as they shot for the last schedule of their shooting.
And as a token of remembrance,
Akshay Bardapurkar, the producer of the film, shared a group picture where the entire star cast be seen posing for the group picture. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing himself whereas Vikram Gokhale will be seen playing the character of CD. Although the film is a light comedy, director Milind Lele promises an emotional journey for the audience.
In 1994, the veteran actor had featured in the Marathi film ‘Akka’ along with his wife
Jaya Bachchan. Interestingly, the film was directed by his personal make-up artist turned filmmaker, Deepak Sawant. And now, after more than two decades, Big B will be seen in yet another Marathi film.
Reports say that a huge hall was reserved for AB ani CD’s five-day-long shoot. In the film, Big B will be playing the role of actor Vikram Gokhale’s friend. The duo will be seen together after 1990’s super hit Bollywood film ‘Agneepath’.
The title of the upcoming film revolves around its central characters. ‘AB’ stands for ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ while ‘CD’ refers to Vikram Gokhale’s character Chandrakant Deshpande, who is a retired drawing teacher. ‘AB aani CD’ traces the journey of the latter when he realises that ‘AB’ is his childhood friend. And soon, the scenes begin to unfold. The film is slated to release soon.
