Umesh Kamat is all set to make his return on the big screen with Girish Mohite's upcoming biopic 'Taathkana'.
'Taathkana' is a biopic based on the life of India's eminent Neurosurgeon, Premanand Shantaram Ramani (P.S.Ramani) played by Marathi cinema's popular actor Umesh Kamat.
Talking about the same, filmmaker Girish Mohite said " 'Taathkana' is a biopic of Indian's glorious Neurosurgeon, P.S.Ramani. Mr Ramani's contribution to the field medical is encouraging and people must know his struggle and his challenges"
He further elaborated "We started the filming of 'Taathkana' in 2018 and it took us two years to complete the shoot. Umesh as done a wonderful job with his performance and I am sure that the audience will love this"
While speaking on casting Umesh Kamat, Mohite said "When I saw pictures of P.S.Ramani from his college days, it perfectly resembles with Umesh Kamat. Umesh has gone through a physical transformation to portray this character"
Recently, Umesh took to his Instagram handle to share a first look poster from his upcoming biopic, and wrote "पाठीच्या कण्यावरील संशोधनातून जगविख्यात झालेल्या डॉ प्रेमानंद रामाणी यांच्या जीवनचरित्रावर आधारित "ताठकणा"
