Interesting story behind Bhagyaraj’s house in 'Mundhanai Mudichu'
One of director K Bhagyaraj's his films includes the 1983 film 'Mundhanai Mudichu' starring Bhagyaraj and Urvashi in the lead. The film was produced by AVM Productions and the film was about a mischievous village girl, who falls in love with a widower who works as a teacher in the village. While we have heard a lot of stories about actor's doing philanthropic works, the production company had apparently donated a house that they built for the film to the school in the village.

Sharing the interesting triva, AVM's Aruna Guhan wrote, "#AVMTrivia | The story behind Bhagyaraj sir’s house in Mundhanai Mudichu. A major portion of this movie was shot in Olapalayam, near Gobichettipalayam. The house near the school which is shown in the movie as Bhagyaraj sir’s house was newly built by us. After the shooting, we gave that house to the school so that it could be used as a classroom. Bhagyaraj sir also got people from that village to play small roles in the movie. Moments like these are so heartwarming, aren’t they?"

The film, which released on 22 July 1983, became a silver jubilee film running for over 25 weeks in theatres and a major box office success minting about 4 crores against a budget of just 30 lakhs.
