Raj Kapoor's 23-year-old son Sharook Kapoor passes away in Mecca

Raj Kapoor is popularly known for his directorial hits in the Tamil cinema industry. It is reported that Raj Kapoor's 23-year-old son Sharook Kapoor had was on a pilgrimage to Mecca along with his mother Saleeja Kapoor. In an unfortunate turn of events, Sharook suffered from shortness of breath and began shivering. His mother thought it was due to the weather, however, the youngster passed away before anyone could do anything.
The sudden death has shocked Raj Kapoor and his family, and celebrities have been paying their condolences to the family.Meanwhile, Raj Kapoor is trying to bring Sharook Kapoor's body back to Chennai to perform the last rites, but he is facing issues owing to the international regulations in Mecca.
Raj Kapoor began his career working as an assistant director to filmmaker C V Sridhar. Then, he made his directorial debut with the film 'Thalattu Ketkuthamma' which starred Prabhu and Kanaka in lead roles. He has also directed the films 'Aval Varuvala' and 'Anandha Poongatre' with actor Ajith. The filmmaker last directed the 2008 Tamil film 'Vambu Sandai' starring Sathyaraj, Uday Kiran, and Diya. Apart from films, Raj Kapoor has also acted in some serials on a popular Tamil Television channel.
