Samyuktha Hegde starrer ‘Kirrak Party’ is doing great at the box office, raking in $120k from its US premiers alone.
The film released to packed screens on March 16 and has since been a favourite with the college-going crowd. Charting the journey of an engineering student Krishna (Nikhil), his friends, love, heartbreak and life in general, the film managed to tap into the youth market with its fun content.
Now, the film has raked in more than Rs 10 Cr gross in a span of 2 days worldwide. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala posted a poster from the film and wrote, “#KirrakParty gets Kirrak openings, Mints 10 cr+ Gross on 2 days worlwide.” (sic) Remade from the Kannada hit film ‘Kirik Party’, buzz is that the film has raked in a satellite price of Rs 3.25 Cr, Rs 1 Cr from Hindi satellite rights and digital rights of Rs 50 lakhs.
Directed by debutant Sharan Koppisetty, the film has a screenplay by Sudheer Varma and dialogues by Chandoo Mondeti.
