President of India Droupadi Murmu honoured the winners of the 68th National Film Awards at a ceremony held in New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhavan. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Anurag Singh Thakur also attended the ceremony, which saw the who’s who of the entertainment industry receive the prestigious honour. The awards included the 52nd Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which was presented to
Asha Parekh.
She was honoured with the prestigious award for her contribution to the Indian cinema in the ceremony today.
The winners in the Feature Film and Non-Feature Film categories were announced in July this year. On Friday, President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the awards to the winners, including S Thaman (Best Music Director), TV Rambabu (Best Make-up Artist), Sandhya Raju (Best Choreography) Angirekula
Sandeep Raj and Sai Rajesh Neelam (Best Feature Film in Telugu for Colour Photo) among others.
"Colour Photo" has been adjudged as the best Telugu Film at the 68th National Film Awards. Music director S. Thaman has received the best music direction award for "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo". Choreographer Sandhya Raju has been presented with best choreography award for "Natyam" and TV Rambabu received best make-up artist award for the same movie. Director Sandeep Raj and producer Sai Rajesh Neelam were honoured with the Best Feature Film in Telugu Award for Colour Photo.
'Colour Photo', which was released in 2020, was a period romantic drama, and stars Suhas, Chandini Chowdary and Sunil. The film revolves around two engineering students Jayakrishna and Deepthi, whose family backgrounds differ greatly from each other fall in love, and obviously, their love is forbidden.
