Amidst all the curveballs and controversies, a senior royal couple is finding their way to each other. And while they do so, an ‘unexpected’ element is acting as cupid to their newfound love!
We’re talking about Prince William and Princess Catherine.
The past couple of years have been tough on the British Royal Family. From taking the blow of Megxit to grappling with cancer diagnoses of the Senior Royals in the family, the house of Windsor has been dealing with issues one after the other.
However, even in the middle of all these hurdles, love has blossomed once again between the Wales.

Do you believe that Prince William and Princess Catherine's relationship has strengthened after her cancer diagnosis?
Love is in the air!
Only a week ago, William,
Prince of Wales, made headlines and sent shockwaves after he reportedly hired his late mother Princess Diana's divorce lawyers, ditching his father, King Charles’ legal aides.
However, to everyone’s relief, Prince William’s change in his legal team has nothing to do with his relationship with his wife, Princess Catherine, who is more popularly known as Kate Middleton. Rather, the couple has reportedly been ‘more in love’ since tragedy struck in their family in 2024.
Last year, Kate announced her cancer diagnosis after months of speculation and absence from the public eye. In March, Kate underwent a course of preventative chemotherapy. By September, her treatment had concluded, and she shared an update through a heartfelt video, stating, “My path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must take each day as it comes.”
As per insiders, Kate’s health scare - especially, something as major as cancer - has served as a wake-up call and has helped Prince William rearrange his priorities.
In January this year, the Princess of Wales confirmed that her cancer was in remission, expressing gratitude for the support she received throughout her health journey. “It is a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focused on recovery. I am looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead,” the Princess shared in a January 14 social media post.
While Kate, the Princess of Wales’, cancer seems to be in a good place now, the road was unclear and rocky throughout most of last year. In the aftermath of such a terrifying diagnosis, William has apparently upped his romance game since, and is seeing this new chapter as a “second chance” with Kate, whom he has been with for over two decades since meeting in 2001 as students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
As per the source, “William really stepped up during Kate’s illness. He took on so many extra duties even in the midst of supporting and his considerable heartache worrying about her. He has been the most doting husband, and everyone, including Kate, says so.”
Packing in more romance!
According to Cosmopolitan, William has “reportedly been packing on the romance and showering Kate in affection” since she announced she is in remission. A source speaking to Closer (via The Sun) said of the Prince of Wales that “William has been incredibly supportive through Kate’s cancer battle—he’s really proven himself to be a remarkable partner when the going gets tough.”
The source added, “His big focus has been on making the most of their time and this second chance at life together. That means more romantic dinners, more long walks, and more holidays.”
What does that mean?
The Wales family of five—William, Kate, and their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—are currently believed to be on a multi-week Easter break, and from the New Year forward have traveled to such locations as the Alps (for skiing) and Mustique (for sunbathing in the Caribbean).
William and Kate are also reportedly “mapping out summer plans right now, with the usual family trips to Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly, but they’re also looking to take a romantic hideaway holiday just the two of them.”
The source also mentioned that the couple is “even talking about going back to the Seychelles, where they honeymooned.”
The couple is set to celebrate 14 years of marriage later this month.
The ‘supportive’ family!
As for the rest of the British Royal Family members, Prince William’s father, King Charles, is quite on board with “William taking time for his family so that Kate can recover,” and is backing William and Kate with his “full support,” per Cosmopolitan.
For the unversed, King Charles too was diagnosed with cancer in early 2024 following a procedure at The London Clinic in January. The monarch is currently going through his treatment for the same.
