Vasant Purnima 2025: Significance


Purnima or full moon, is a day for spiritual enlightenment when divine rays of Moon falls on earth. The energy of the full moon is believed to promote inner calm, wisdom, and positivity. It is considered auspicious to take bath in sacred rivers like the Ganga, Yamuna, Shipra and Godavari. It is believed to bring positivity in the life of devotees and also helps to remove past committed sins and also people can attain salvation or moksha. On this auspicious day, people perform various spiritual and religious activities such as observing fast and performing puja to Lord Satyanarayan, worshipping of Chandrama, offering prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati by performing puja. In order to obtain seek blessings of Lord Vishnu one should perform or listen to Satyanarayan Katha.

Vasant Purnima 2025: Puja Rituals


People are advised to wake up early in the morning and first take a holy bath before starting puja rituals. Clean the house, then offer Arghya to Lord Surya. Take a sankalp of observing fast and perform puja to Lord Vishnu. Do meditate and offer prayers to Lord Satyanarayan, who is another form of Shri Hari Vishnu.
