Magic Johnson took to X to share his enthusiasm for the upcoming showdown as the game inherently brings high anticipation with the
LeBron James vs. Stephen Curry rivalry.
“I’m so excited to watch LeBron vs. Steph tomorrow when the Warriors take on my Lakers in a must-win game for both teams with seeding implications on the line!?Johnson posted.
The game will be the fourth and final regular-season meeting between the two teams, with the Lakers winning all three prior encounters. However, the Warriors have been in their A-game as well. Since their last meeting, they have bolstered their roster with the acquisition of Jimmy Butler. Since Butler’s arrival, Golden State has been on a tear, going 19-5 and surging up the standings. The Curry-Butler duo has been lethal, and on top of that, Curry recently added a stunning 52 points against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.
With the Lakers currently holding the third seed and the Warriors sitting at sixth, this game could serve as a preview of a thrilling first-round playoff matchup. Both teams will be fighting to secure the most favorable position possible as they gear up for the postseason.
Beyond the star power of LeBron and Curry, Magic Johnson also highlighted the Lakers?bench as a key factor in their recent success. In a separate post on X, he praised the contributions of role players who have provided a much-needed spark for the team.
“Laker Nation, I’m really excited about the outstanding play from our bench lately. Both Gabe Vincent and Dorian Finney-Smith had six threes and ended up with 20 points in the win versus the Rockets. If they can keep hitting threes at that pace, the Lakers will have a deep run in the Playoffs!?br/>Also Read:
