Celebrity Masterchef: Nikki Tamboli worries about her manicure as contestants are given only one utensil to cook; says ‘I can’t wash bartan’

In the latest episode of Celebrity MasterChef, celebrity contestants faced an unusual challenge that tested not just their cooking skills but also their adaptability in the kitchen. With Chef Kunal Kapur joining judges Farah Khan and Ranveer Brar, the competition intensified as the black apron contestants were tasked with preparing a dish using only one utensil.
This week, Faisal Shaikh, Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Gaurav Khanna, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, and Tejasswi Prakash were in the danger zone, fighting to retain their spot in the competition. The challenge required them to pick a single cooking tool wisely, as it had to be multifunctional for various cooking steps.

Upon hearing the challenge, Nikki Tamboli had a dramatic reaction. She confessed, “If I have to taste one food, I will use four spoons to taste it. I don’t wash utensils. How will I wash one utensil so many times to cook?” Clearly, the idea of repeatedly washing the same utensil was a major concern for her.

She decided to pick a frying pan, explaining her choice, “Dhone ki aadat nahi hai mujhe (I’m not used to washing utensils). I want to take a pan that I can easily wash. I want to play safe because I can cook my fish in a pan.”

As the challenge kicked off, Nikki complained to Gaurav Khanna, “It’s too difficult! I have to wash the utensil so many times.” Gaurav, noticing her freshly done nails, teased, “Yes, imagine! You even got a manicure.” Nikki sighed, “Yes, I got my nails done just yesterday. I didn’t know I would face such a challenge.”
Adding to the chaos, the judges introduced a surprise counter swap twist. While Faisu remained at his counter due to his previous win, others had to switch stations. In a playful moment, Nikki cleverly convinced Tejasswi Prakash to wash her utensil in exchange for prawns, proving that even in the kitchen, negotiation skills come in handy.
