Exclusive: Jatin Suri on entering Anupamaa, says ‘It’s my biggest show and my mother is very happy’
Jatin Suri, who was last seen in Saubhagyavati Bhava 2, is all set to enter the popular television show Anupamaa. The actor, who played Amandeep Sidhu’s brother in his previous show alongside Dheeraj Dhoopar, is thrilled about this new opportunity and considers it a major milestone in his career. In an exclusive conversation, he shares his excitement, nervousness, and gratitude for being part of the number-one show.
Reflecting on his previous work, Jatin says, “Saubhagyavati Bhava 2 was an amazing experience. I played a very important and positive character. Working with such talented co-stars was a learning experience for me.” However, stepping into Anupamaa is a dream come true, not just for him but for his entire family. “Everyone knows Anupamaa is the number-one show, and even in my house, this was the only show being watched. My mother always used to tell me, ‘I wish you get to be a part of this show.’ We often say that the universe listens, and it truly did. Now that I am in the show, she is overjoyed. It’s a blessing from my parents.”

Despite his excitement, Jatin admits he was nervous about entering such a massive show, especially after taking an eight-month break. “This is like my comeback, and I got emotional when Rajan sir and his team trusted me with this role. I felt a mix of emotions—nervousness and gratitude. I knew I had to stand strong and prove myself.” However, his confidence grew as he delved into the script. “I don’t know what happens when I read a script, but I automatically get into the character. I only need to read it once, and it stays with me. When I gave my audition, I was confident, and I felt connected to my role immediately.”

Jatin will be portraying Raja Kothari in Anupamaa, a role that he resonates with due to his previous experiences. “I have played similar characters before, like Diamond Singh in Nimki Mukhiya, which was also a popular show. In that, I played an MLA’s son, and I had to carry a rich and classy persona. Anupamaa is a different league altogether, but I am excited to bring my own essence to Raja Kothari.”

Praising Rajan Shahi, Jatin shares, “I always heard great things about Rajan sir and his team, but after working with them, I truly understand why he is the best of the best. His working style, his vision, and the positivity he brings to the set are inspiring. He is an intelligent, sharp, and kind human being, and he treats everyone equally. That’s what makes him different.”
For Jatin, being a part of Anupamaa is a career-defining moment. “Working in Anupamaa, the number-one show, and with such an incredible production and team—it’s the biggest achievement for me. I am blessed, and I can’t wait for the audience to see my journey unfold.”
