Celebrity Masterchef: Faisu’s dish leaves judges unimpressed; Chef Ranveer Brar says ‘Thankfully this is not black apron challenge’

Adding to the criticism, Chef Ranveer Brar was also unimpressed and commented, “This is not a good dish and thankfully this is not a black apron challenge.” The black apron challenge is a high-risk round that determines eliminations, and Ranveer’s remark emphasized that Faisu narrowly escaped a major setback.
Among the other contestants, Gaurav Khanna, Rajiv Adatia, and Archana Gautam also struggled to meet the expectations of a semi-final stage. Their dishes lacked finesse and did not reflect the level of expertise expected at this stage of the competition. The judges noted that their creations were not up to par, raising concerns about their journey ahead in the competition.

Despite the tough feedback for some, the episode had its highlights. Nikki Tamboli emerged as the star performer, with her dish earning the highest praise. She also received a coveted spoon tap from Chef Ranveer Brar, a gesture signifying excellence. Tejasswi Prakash, too, impressed the judges with her dish, receiving positive feedback for her flavors and presentation.
