As the India-Pakistan conflict continues, TV actors like Rupali Ganguly, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Avinash Mishra, and others express their take on the situation. While some actors bash Pakistani stars for calling out the Indian army, others slam Indian actors for staying silent amid the conflict. Several popular celebs also express their gratitude for the Indian army. Here’s a look at the reactions:
Rupali Ganguly reacted to a message shared by Fawad Khan, where he called Operation Sindoor “shameful.” She said, “You working in Indian films was also ‘shameful’ for us.” The actress further shared, “Unfollowing me won’t bring any betterment to your country. First ask your government and army to stop terrorism against India — this will be the only way for the betterment of Pakistan. Your following or unfollowing may make a difference to an artist but not to an Indian. And I’m an Indian first. A proud INDIAN.”
Hina has constantly been updating fans with her take on the India-Pakistan conflict. She expressed her deep support for the Indian army. Hina also shared how she’s receiving abusive messages from the Pakistani audience. The actress shared, “All my life I only saw affection from across the border. After supporting my country before and after Operation Sindoor, many of you abused me, cursed me. Many have unfollowed me, many more threatening to unfollow me. This threat is accompanied by abuses, salacious and demeaning hate directed not just to me but to my medical condition, my family, and even my faith. I don’t expect you to support my country. You support yours, that’s ok. I don’t expect you to understand the nuances beyond the mutual alienations. I only hoped that you will conduct yourself at least as humanly as I have been towards you all. But I guess, that’s the difference. I am not anything if I am not an Indian. I will always be an Indian, first. So, go ahead — UNFOLLOW ME. I don’t care. I did not abuse or curse any of you… I only supported my country. What you say defines you. What you choose defines your ideology. How you act in tough times shows your depth as a human being. It has nothing to do with me. No matter what, I will support my country. Jai Hind.”
Bigg Boss 18 fame Avinash Mishra didn’t fail to stand up for the country and shared a series of stories on his Instagram handle. He even slammed actors who are staying silent amid the ongoing conflict. He said, “Celebrities from across the border – who built their fame on Indian audiences – now calling India’s action against terrorism ‘shameful’ & ‘cowardly’ is the height of hypocrisy,” Avinash wrote, adding, “Where are our celebrities now? If you cannot speak up for your country just to protect your ‘brand’ or follower count, don’t ever pretend to represent India. Silence isn’t neutral. It’s cowardice.”
Surbhi expressed her gratitude for the Indian army and wrote, “Heard the ‘De-escalate’ gang doing the rounds. Stop being the GYAAN KI MURAT. At the comfort of your home, it is so easy to say we must de-escalate the matter. It’s time to escalate and eventually eliminate the issue. Don’t forget, their protection is making you comfortably sip on your chai/coffee whilst our jawans are making it a breeze for you. All you could do is sit in silence and pray for them and their/our victory. Can we let our armed forces do their job? If you can’t stand with them, you better don’t get in the way. My unwavering respect & support to them and their families who are standing firm and have some skin in the game. Jai Hind. Bowing down & a huge salute to our fauj. Forever indebted.”
Devoleena shared a video of some TV celebs supporting Pakistani actors and condemning the ‘digital ban.’ The actress reacted to it and said,“Artist hai aur kaam kar paa rahe hai kyunki wahan border par humare jawan humari suraksha ke liye apni jaan de rahe hain. Yeh Indians hai? Literally spineless. It’s not political. It’s a national issue. Country is at war aur inko artist-artist khelna hai.”
Another actor who bashed Bollywood stars for staying silent amid the India-Pakistan conflict was Abhinav Shukla. He said, “The so-called iconic Bollywood heroes are silent and are careful about what to say on social media about #IndoPakConflict! Once this conflict is done and dusted & studios/producers make a rush to trademark Op Sindoor or any outstanding sacrifice by our faujis, which can be made into a screenplay/film… these very silent Bollywood stars will be approached to play a Major, Wing Cdr, IN Cdr et al. And trust me, they will hop on to it for half the fee they charge but ENSURING THE SOUNDTRACK IS SUPER PATRIOTIC and done by their favourite composer!”
