Actress and Roadies fame
Rhea Chakraborty has shared a moving open letter, paying tribute to the
Armed Forces and their families. Speaking from the heart and from her own experience as a
Fauji daughter, Rhea’s message is resonating widely online for its emotional depth and quiet strength.
In the note, Rhea reflected on growing up in a
military household and how it shaped her perspective on life and love. “I grew up watching my dad wear his uniform like a second skin — calm, proud, ready,” she wrote. She also acknowledged the silent sacrifices made by
military families, adding, “I grew up watching my mom hold back tears like a soldier too.”
Rhea underlined the reality of being raised in an Army family — where emotions often take a back seat to duty. “Being an Army officer’s daughter means you learn early… that love often looks like distance.
That pride quietly holds hands with fear,” she penned, describing the dual emotions that come with service life.
She concluded her letter with a touching salute to every soldier and their loved ones: “Today, I sleep safely in my home because someone else’s father, mother, brother, or sister is out there — standing at the border, standing tall. To every Army, Navy, and Air Force family waiting, hoping, praying — I see you, I feel you, and I stand with you.”
“From one fauji home to another… sending love, strength, and a salute. Jai Hind.”
Rhea’s heartfelt tribute stands as a reminder of the unseen courage within every defence family.
