Indian Idol has been one of the most popular singing reality series on Indian television for many years. Indian Idol 15 is now airing, and various celebrity visitors have appeared on the show to promote their own ventures.
Shabana Azmi, whose OTT show Dabba Cartel recently went on floors, makes a guest appearance on Indian Idol 15. On the occasion, the seasoned actor recalled her father's passion to his art.
The channel posted a preview of the latest episode of Indian Idol 15 on its official Instagram page. Shabana Azmi explains how filmmaker
Chetan Anand, who was born in the 1940s, chose to write a shayari film. Shabana revealed that Anand then instructed her father,
Kaifi Azmi, to script the film, as only he could do it.
Shabana shared, "Toh Kaifi Sahab, itni shiddat se likhte the. Raat raat, bhar likhte the. Unko Dena tha ek waqt mein. Blood pressure tha unko, uske sath voh lete the anti-sleeping tablets taki voh so nahi paaye, and uski vajah se unko faalij ka daura pada. (So Kaifi sir began writing for it with whole dedication. He used to stay up all night writing so that he could submit it on time. He had high blood pressure and used to take anti-sleeping pills to keep himself awake. As a result, he experienced a paralytic attack.)
She further added, "Toh main sochti hoon jab kalakar ke upar jab junoon chadta hai toh voh apne kaam main itna leen hojata hai ki usko na apni zindagi ki parvah hai na kisi chiz ki parvah bas ke voh ho jaana chahiye. (When artists who have immense passion dedicate their lives so much to their work that they don't care about their lives but only aim at doing their work).
The caption for this promo said, "Shabana Ma'am, ne share kiya the story of Kaifi Sahab's strong dedication to his work."
