Actor Vinit Kakar, who gained popularity with Lock Upp and many other mythological dramas, is set to portray yet another powerful demon in the upcoming mythological showGanesh Kartikey. The series, which will explore the divine bond and adventures of brothers Ganesha and Kartikeya, stars Riyansh Vikram Dabhi as Ganesha and Subhaan Khan as Kartikey.
According to exclusive sources, Vinit has already begun shooting for his role as Singhmukhasur—the lion-faced demon, who is eventually vanquished by the two deities. Known for his commanding screen presence in villainous avatars, Vinit has portrayed a wide range of demons in mytho-dramas such as Rakhtbeej, Daruk, Gajmukhasur, Andhakasura, Rahu, Takshaka, and Meghnad, among others.

This new role adds to his impressive resume of mythological antagonists. Singhmukhasur is described in scriptures as a fierce and formidable demon, making Vinit a fitting choice for the character, given his past work in shows like Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush, Radhakrishn, and Vighnaharta Ganesh.
In an earlier interview, Vinit spoke about how much he values being part of mythological storytelling. “I'm thankful that people are enjoying my character as asur as I have played such roles in various mythological shows. I'm glad that despite growing up abroad, today I can speak shudh Hindi. I did not school myself on this but I feel thankful to all the mythological shows I was part of. I can speak shudh Hindi in real life too,” he shared.

While continuing his journey in mythological shows, Vinit is also expanding his presence on OTT platforms. He will soon be seen in Hasratein 2 alongside Vivek Dahiya and Gulki Joshi. His past credits also include Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, Chandragupta Maurya, and Ziddi Dil Maane Na.
