Actress Sujitha on her comeback after 10 years: Grateful to be back with a feel-good serial like 'Archana Chechi LLB'

At last, actress Sujithahas fulfilled the long-standing wish of every Malayalam TV serial enthusiast. Known for being the face of several iconic Malayalam serials, the talented actress is making her much-awaited comeback after a decade.She returns to the screen in the titular role in 'Archana Chechi LLB'. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Sujitha opened up about her excitement over the return and shared her hopes for this new chapter in her career.
"Feels great to be back in the Malayalam industry. Honestly, my mother is even happier than I am that I’m doing a Malayalam project. I’m truly grateful for all the love. Even after being away for 10 years, people continue to show me so much affection and respect,” she shared.
When asked about her long absence from Malayalam television, the actress revealed that it wasn’t a deliberate choice but simply due to being constantly occupied with back-to-back projects in other languages.
"I've always enjoyed doing Malayalam serials. After my pregnancy, I decided to take on only one project at a time. That's when Pandian Store came, and it ran successfully for five and a half years. I then played the same role in the Telugu version for another three years. Because of this, I couldn't work on any Malayalam projects during that time," she shared.

Talking about her decision to take on Archana Chechi LLB, Sujitha shared that what drew her to the role was how much the character appealed to her.
"Archana Chechi is truly an inspiring character. She’s a divorcee, a single mother, a loving sister, and a successful lawyer. She’s a bold woman who faces life's challenges with strong willpower. Archana Chechi inspires people by showing that even if a marriage fails, a woman can still lead a happy and respectful life. The character attracted me instantly. So, I thought, why not make a comeback with such a bold and beautiful character?" she added.
The actress also mentioned that the new serial will definitely be a great watch for TV serial lovers.

"After seeing the promo highlighting the love between Archana Chechi and her brothers, many people commented that the love would fade soon, and the usual drama would begin. I can confidently say that this serial will not be the typical family drama you usually see. There are no melodramas or mother-in-law vs daughter-in-law fights. It will definitely be a feel-good watching experience," she concluded.
