A Shivanna-Rishab Shetty film on the cards?

Shiva Rajkumar is certainly the man of the moment. Having turned 59 today, the actor is in the thick of the action in the Kannada Film Industry as he goes on to bag one interesting role after another. His 35-year long career is already a solid testament to his longevity as a leading man but there doesn't seem to be any force out there that can stop him in his tracks yet. His penchant to work with newer and younger filmmakers has always been his trademark, and despite reaching the tallest heights as a superstar, he continues to attract the most interesting roles and stories. And keeping up with this very tradition, a new project with actor-director Rishab Shetty has come to the fore. According to recent reports, Rishab, who had been keen on working with Shiva Rajkumar for the longest time, had not one but two stories for the Hattrick Hero and the latter has even chosen one to collaborate on. The same report also reveals that popular producer duo of Jayanna and Bhogendra will bankroll the film after making an informal announcement very recently. The film is most likely to be a light-hearted one and should things fall into place, it will take off sometime next year. With the new Rishab Shetty film in the pipeline, Shiva Rajkumar has a wide variety of films lined up in front of him. Along with the mega spectacle that is 'Bhajarangi 2', there is also Vijay Milton's 'Bairagee', Telugu director Ram Dhulipudi's project, his landmark 125th film with A. Harsha, and untitled ventures with debutant directors.
