India Shoots Down Pak Missiles Aimed At Military Sites In 15 Cities; Hits Back With 'Drones'

Pakistan attempted a large-scale overnight strike on May 7–8, launching drones and missiles at 15 Indian cities across Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The Indian government claims that its integrated air defence and counter-drone systems successfully intercepted and neutralized the threats. Debris from Pakistani missiles and drones is being recovered. In response, India reportedly struck back, targeting Pakistani air defence sites, including one in Lahore. Meanwhile, Pakistan intensified shelling along the LoC, killing 16 Indian civilians. India has responded with artillery fire and reaffirmed its desire to de-escalate if Pakistani aggression stops.
