Jaideep Ahlawat reacts to people calling his viral dance in 'Jewel Thief' AI-generated: 'I'm from Haryana, have danced in lots of Ghudchadis'

Jaideep Ahlawat, who is busy promoting his upcoming heist thriller Jewel Thief, made headlines for his impeccable dance moves in the song Jaadu from the film and during the recent trailer launch event. The actor finally responded to the ongoing social media frenzy regarding his dance moves and the comparisons with Vicky Kaushal’s Tauba Tauba.

The actor’s dance moves in the trailer also caught viewers' attention, sparking online speculation that they might have been created using AI. Reacting to the comments, Jaideep clarified, “Genuinely, there was nothing much we did with it. I don’t know why people are so surprised to see me dance; I am from Haryana and have danced in lots of ghudchadis (wedding processions). Dancing is okay, Shazia and Piyush just made our jobs easy.” He credited the choreographers for making the hook steps in the song easier.
He further shared in a playful way, “Chalo, main maanta hoon, ye AI hai!”
Nikita Dutta, who stars alongside Jaideep in the film, also backed him, saying, “Jaideep had an audience to see him dance when he went in front of the camera.”
When the song from Jewel Thief went viral, fans compared the movie to Vicky Kaushal’s Tauba Tauba. One fan wrote, "My man Jaideep Ahlawat got some moves! Give him a single solo album to dance in right now." Another one reacted, “Jaideep Ahlawat is a class apart. One of the finest actors we have. Awesome, superb.”
In Jewel Thief, Jaideep takes on a villainous role, adding further intrigue to the plot. The movie is set to premiere on OTT on April 25.
