45-year-old man hit by speeding car, dies

Bhopal: A 45-year-old man allegedly succumbed to injuries on Wednesday morning after being hit by an unidentified speeding car near JP Hospital in the Habibganj area. The incident occurred on the night of April 19 when the victim was crossing the road. Habibganj police registered a case and handed over the body to the family after a post-mortem. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to identify the vehicle involved.
According to the police, the deceased, Kamal Kushwaha, 45, a resident of Bhim Nagar in Arera Hills, ran a lemon water cart near JP Hospital. Around 8 PM on April 19, Kamal was returning home after closing his cart. While crossing the main road outside the hospital, he was struck by a high-speed car heading towards New Market.
Kamal sustained serious injuries in the accident. Locals rushed him to JP Hospital, from where he was referred to Hamidia Hospital due to the severity of his condition. Despite medical efforts, Kamal died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday morning.
The police registered a case against the unidentified car driver and are continuing the investigation.
