Tripura LoP accuses BJP of ruining future of youth
Agartala: Tripura leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led govt in Tripura, accusing it of systematically dismantling the future of the youth by pushing them towards drug abuse and unlawful activities.
Addressing a youth convention organised by Left Front's student and youth wings, Chaudhury, who recently became a member of CPM Politburo, said the situation for young people in Tripura has become bleak under the current regime.
"Across the country and in Tripura, the future of our youth is under threat. The BJP, along with its allies IPFT and Tipra Motha, has halted all avenues of employment. Instead of creating opportunities, they are driving young people into addiction and crime. It's a deliberate ploy to ruin the next generation," he alleged.
Chaudhury said student bodies such as the TSF, SFI and DYFI are actively mobilising against this ‘destructive agenda' and are committed to safeguarding the interests of the youth.
"These organisations are on the ground, resisting the anti-youth policies of the state govt. State wide conventions are being planned to unite people and chart a collective path to save our youth and our state from this downward spiral," he added.
