Lucknow University observed the 135th birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on Monday. The university honoured the legacy of the chief architect of the Indian Constitution through floral tributes, inspiring speeches, and academic programmes.
LU vice chancellor, Alok Kumar Rai paid floral tribute to Dr Ambedkar's statue and highlighted his lasting impact on the nation.
"Ambedkar's life is a beacon of social justice and equality. His commitment to education inspires us to build a more inclusive society," he said.
Meanwhile, at Bhimotsava 2025, organized by the faculty of law on the second campus, Justice Shamim Ahmed of the Allahabad High Court delivered the keynote address.
"Ambedkar's principles of justice and equality form the bedrock of our democracy. Students must uphold these values in their lives and careers," he said.
Director, second campus, RK Singh said, "Ambedkar's thought offers timeless solutions to modern challenges. We must bring his ideas into practice."
The event brought together faculty, students, and dignitaries in a meaningful tribute, reaffirming their commitment to the values Ambedkar stood for.
