After weeks of feeling betrayed,
Roman Reigns might just have made the choice to go it alone in
WWE from now on.
The go-home edition of Monday Night RAW for WrestleMania 41 ended with one of the most unforgettable and explosive segments in WWE history. For weeks, the dynamics surrounding the triple threat match between Roman Reigns,
Seth Rollins, and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41 had been must-see television. On the final RAW before WrestleMania, the OTC finally snapped and left his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, on the mat, signalling the end of their historic alliance.
Roman Reigns might have hinted at the end of his partnership with Paul Heyman
Paul Heyman was seen waiting for Roman Reigns the entire night. As Reigns arrived, he saw Heyman with CM Punk backstage and chose to walk to the ring on his own. Heyman was seen running to catch up to him. Unlike the usual scenario, Reigns did not take the microphone from his Wiseman, further hinting at their tensions.
As the crowd in Sacramento acknowledged the OTC, he claimed that the fans would never betray him, but said that some people might, pointing at Paul Heyman. This led to a negative chant directed at Heyman from the audience. Heyman tried to explain that he was only paying back a favor he owed, but Reigns believed that he was the one entangled in this. As the tensions continued to escalate, Seth Rollins arrived at the scene.
The Visionary stressed on the importance of their upcoming WrestleMania triple threat match. He then turned his attention on corrupting Roman Reigns against Paul Heyman. Rollins claimed that favors were a choice as Heyman chose to not return the favor to him after he spared him last week on RAW, but did not do the same when it came to choosing CM Punk over Roman Reigns.
As the final moments of the show came close, Reigns stated that he made his choice and took down Seth Rollins and sent him out of the ring. As Paul Heyman looked to acknowledge his Tribal Chief, Reigns snapped and shoved him down to the mat, much to the shock of many in attendance.
At that moment, CM Punk came down to the ring to check on Paul Heyman. However, he found himself in a brawl with Reigns, who speared him. At that point, Seth Rollins recreated the infamous Shield breakup scene by nailing Roman Reigns with a chair to his bac and Stomping CM Punk to end the show.
