SI, constable attacked at police outpost in Kanpur

Kanpur: A police sub-inspector and a constable sustained injuries after they were attacked by a suspect in an assault case at Anandpuri police outpost on Tuesday.
The police went to Baradevi to apprehend a suspect for assault on a constable. When he was brought to the Anandpuri outpost, the suspect attacked the police. An SI from Kidwai police station and a constable were injured in the attack.
Additional deputy commissioner of police Mahesh Kumar said that the accused, Vijay Tiwari, son of Rambabu Tiwari, a resident of Anandpuri, attacked the Kidwai Nagar police team by throwing glass, causing minor injuries to a SI and a constable. Vijay Tiwari was arrested, and necessary legal action is being taken.
