Amravati airport unveiling today
Amravati: The Amravati airport will be inaugurated at 10:30 am on Wednesday by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. The event will also mark the arrival of the first commercial flight from Mumbai to Amravati, as well as the takeoff of Air India's FTO demonstration flight.
Deputy chief ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with Amravati guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, will be present at the occasion. Civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and his deputy, Murlidhar Mohol, are also among the invitees.
Alliance Air's Mumbai-Amravati flight will make its maiden landing at the airport at 10:20 AM. The airline will operate regular commercial flights between the two cities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. MADC vice-chairperson and managing director Swati Pandey will receive the guests upon their arrival on this inaugural flight.
Rajya Sabha MP Dr Anil Bonde, Amravati MP Balwant Wankhade, Wardha MP Amar Kale, legislators Kiran Sarnaik, Dhiraj Lingade, Sanjay Khodke, Ravi Rana, Sulbha Khodke, Pratap Adsad, Kewalram Kale, Rajesh Wankhade, Pravin Tayde, Umesh Yawalkar, and Gajanan Lawte, will also grace this historic occasion. They will be joined by Sanjay Sethi, additional chief secretary for transport and ports, Shweta Singhal, divisional commissioner of Amravati, and collector Saurabh Katiyar.
