Govt to release list of those who got jobs in 5 yrs: Dy CM
Patna: State govt will release the list of beneficiaries who have got jobs or employment between 2020 and 2025, said deputy CM Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday.
He said CM Nitish Kumar will also send good wishes to all of them.
The opposition parties, including RJD, have been making unemployment, migration and law & order issues in the state elections since 2020. The same issues are expected to dominate the coming assembly elections in the state.
The NDA govt has been working overtime to fill the vacancies in various departments.
In this backdrop, Samrat's statement assumes significance as RJD claims it was its neta Tejashwi Prasad Yadav who first made 10 lakh jobs promise in his 2020 election agenda.
Reacting to Samrat's statement, RJD spokesperson Arun Yadav said "jobs means Tejashwi" in Bihar. "Before Tejashwi made it a poll issue, giving jobs had never been on the agenda of CM Nitish. The state govt provided 5 lakh jobs in the 17 months of Tejashwi being the deputy of CM Nitish in the Grand Alliance govt in Bihar," Arun said.
However, BJP has always dismissed RJD's claims and said Tejashwi was trying to take credit for the works done under the leadership of CM Nitish.
Amid the claims and counterclaims, health minister Mangal Pandey on Tuesday said the state govt will appoint 27,375 ASHA workers in the coming three months. He said the ASHA workers will be appointed through the gram sabha in panchayats and by the ward councillors in urban areas.
Pandey said the process of recruitment in the health department was going on continuously under the guidance of CM. "So far, advertisements have been issued for 35,383 posts in the department. Instructions have also been given to speed up the recruitment process of community health officers, specialist doctors, medical officers and AYUSH doctors," he said after a meeting of the State Health Society.
Samrat has already said the state govt would create 50 lakh jobs and employment opportunities before the elections. "Since Saat Nischay-II in 2020, the NDA govt has given 10 lakh jobs and created 10 lakh employment opportunities in the state," the deputy CM said recently.
