SHO suspended for dereliction of duty

Chhapra: Saran SSP Kumar Ashish on Tuesday ordered the suspension of Doudpur SHO Navlesh Paswan over alleged negligence in handling a complaint filed by a man.
Announcing the action, SSP Kumar Ashish said he had received a complaint stating that the SHO had failed to act on an allegation involving a young man who had trapped the complainant's daughter and forced her into illegal activities, including the creation of reels and videos.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, the SSP instructed SDPO Ekma to conduct an inquiry and submit a report. The findings confirmed the substance of the complaint. Furthermore, the SSP had earlier noticed irregularities during an inspection of the police station.
As a result, SHO Paswan has been directed to report to the police Llines in Chhapra and submit an explanation within seven days.
"Those who commit errors will not be spared and those who do commendable work will certainly be rewarded," the SSP said.
