NEW DELHI: Cricket fans heading to the HPCA Stadium on Thursday for the IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals should brace for traffic congestion, especially around match time.The game is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm. Though an official advisory is awaited, local authorities expect heavy vehicular and pedestrian movement due to the anticipated large turnout.Use of drones in and around the stadium has been prohibited during match hours. Only police surveillance drones will be allowed, and these too cannot fly directly over the venue.Motorists and commuters are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays, particularly during evening peak hours. Parking is expected to be limited near the stadium.The HPCA Stadium, known for its scenic backdrop, will also host PBKS vs Mumbai Indians IPL match on May 11. Similar traffic advisories and protocols are likely to be in place for that fixture as well.
