A significant fire broke out at the Happy Excellencia residential apartment in Surat's Vesu area, rapidly spreading across multiple floors. Firefighting teams responded swiftly, utilizing specialized equipment to control the blaze and conduct rescues. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

SURAT: A massive fire erupted at the ultra-luxurious Happy Excellencia residential apartment in the posh Vesu area on Friday. The fire spread to multiple floors in the building.
No casualties were reported in the fire so far. Firefighting teams from different fire stations in the city controlled the fire.

Surat Fire and Emergency Services (SFES) used a turntable ladder and hydraulic platform for rescue and firefighting. The residential apartment campus has multiple towers, and the fire engulfed a few floors in one of them.
The minister of state for home, Harsh Sanghvi, is a resident of one of the flats in the Happy Excellencia campus. Sanghvi, who was at his residence, came and asked for the well-being of the rescued residents.
"How the fire started is not yet clear. Our priority is to rescue and control the fire," said an officer of SFES. The smoke from the fire was visible from kilometres away in the city. A number of videos of the massive fire were shared on social media.
