3 dead, four injured in three-vehicle collision on Trichy -Karaikudi Namanasamudram National Highway

PUDUKKOTTAI: 3 people died on Saturday after two cars and a small cargo vehicle collided head-on at Trichy -Karaikudi Namanasamudram national highway in Pudukkottai.
While three people died on the spot, four others, including two children, sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the hospital.
Sources said the accident occurred around 10 am, after which the Thirumayam fire service and ambulance services rushed to the scene, and the injured were taken to Pudukkottai medical college govt hospital.
The two cars and the small cargo vehicle were destroyed due to the impact of the collision. The deceased were identified as Sentamizh Selvan and his wife from Thanjavur.
The third person was identified as Sudhakar from Pudukkottai. Police are further investigating the matter as to determine what caused the accident.
