The phone conversation between Diddy and Kanye was recorded and later made public. In the recording, Diddy can be heard telling Kanye to "be careful out there" because people are targeting them. Diddy also said, "They can’t do it, and they aren’t going to do it," showing his confidence that he will beat the charges against him. He mentioned his upcoming federal trial in May and told Kanye that once he's out, they'll be together again. Diddy described the situation as "wicked" and warned Kanye again to stay alert.
