'Sikandar': Advance bookings for Salman Khan starrer off to a good start in USA ahead of Eid release

Salman Khan’s much-anticipated action drama Sikandar is all set for its big release on Eid. With just days to go before its release, the makers have already opened advance bookings in the USA.
The latest figures indicate that the film has earned an estimated $16,047 from around 506 shows across the country.
Despite the good start and growing momentum, Sikandar will face tough competition at the US box office. The upcoming sequel MAD Square has already amassed $13,871 from just 113 shows, while Empuraan has grossed $36,249 from only 37 shows. Additionally, Robinhood and Veera Dheera Sooran are set to release over the Eid weekend.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar is touted to have high-octane action sequences, emotional depth, and a powerful storyline. To keep the buzz around the film alive, the makers have been actively promoting it by releasing posters, behind-the-scenes clips, and songs. The latest track, Sikandar Naache, features Salman and Rashmika Mandanna getting groovy on the dance floor, with the superstar showcasing his signature hook steps.
The film recently wrapped up its shoot in Mumbai, with the final schedule featuring Salman and Rashmika. The production spanned 90 days, covering locations in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Sikandar also marks Salman’s reunion with Nadiadwala after their 2014 blockbuster Kick. It also marks his return to the big screen after a cameo in director Rohit Shetty's cop drama 'Singham Again', which saw him share the screen with Ajay Devgn.
With its Eid release approaching, Sikandar is poised to make a strong impact at the box office. The film will however also face competition from other Hollywood releases, including the children's film 'Snow White', the new live-action remake, starring Rachael Zeggler in the lead.
