When Tablo took to his online social media platforms to announce the release of RM and his collaboration ‘Stop The Rain,’ fans could not stop raving about the news. The singer shared the news through a cryptic and mysterious video post and left fans buzzing for more.

Tablo shares a new video about RM

Ahead of the release of a collaboration on May 2, Tablo released a video on his social media platforms talking about RM and the collaboration.

Not only that, but Epik High’s singer also took to his broadcast channel and shared a sweet comment about fellow artist RM that had fans awing. He mentioned, "RM is a phenomenal collaborator." He puts his all into art, which inspires me to do the same. Can't wait for you all to hear it.”
In the social media post where he shared a video about the song, Tablo shares how ‘Stop the Rain’ came to be. He shared that the both of them previously worked three years ago on ‘All Day,’ and the enthusiasm that the song received and the experience they had while making it made them want to collaborate again.
While talking about the idea behind ‘Stop The Rain,’ he shared, “We wanted two things with this song: 1) we wanted to do something completely different, and 2) we wanted to have elements in there that connect the both of our music worlds. We also discussed common threads between Tablo’s music and RM’s music, and we landed on the theme of rain.”
He also shared that “RM actually recorded the song right before his enlistment.”

Why is he releasing it now?

In the same video, Tablo also talked about why he waited so long to release the song and how fans must be wondering the same thing. He shared that “When we were making the song, we were so into it that I didn’t realize we were writing such personal lyrics. It was only after he left and I kept listening to it that it kind of felt like looking at pages out of our journals.” He continued sharing that if it was only his ‘journal,’ then he wouldn’t have had any kind of issue with releasing it; however, since RM was also involved, he wanted to wait, as he didn’t know what to do.
The singer also shared that only a few months ago did RM talk to him and ask him where the song was. Once he shared his concerns, RM said, “Release it,” and Tablo shared that he had to release it.

Tablo shares a teaser online ahead of the release

Tablo posted a mysterious video of two poker cards on a black backdrop. The audio contained the sound of the rain, while the audio consisted of Tablo and RM repeating their names together.
In the video shared on his account, Tablo also shared that the promotions for this song will be minimal, as he doesn’t feel like “it’s that kind of song.”
