With the help of compassionate Malayali expatriates, she embarks on a desperate quest to reunite with her. However, during their journey to meet a woman who could be Shahana’s mother, she and her companions—Faizal, Mujeeb, and Khalid (an Omani national)—find themselves stranded in the treacherous Rub’ al Khali desert, one of the most dangerous and largest deserts in the world. Their struggle for survival in this unforgiving landscape forms the core of the gripping thriller.
The film stars
Sarjano Khalid, Anagha Narayanan, T.G. Ravi, Sudheesh, Irshad Ali, and Aradhya Ann, along with prominent GCC actors like Fakriya Khamis and Khamis Al Rawahi. The screenplay, story, and dialogues have been crafted by Fayiz Madakkara and Shahul.
Vishnu Narayanan handles the cinematography, while Avin Mohan Sithara has composed the film’s music. The soundtrack features lyrics by Anwar Ali, R Venugopal, and Hari Narayanan BK, with vocals from Vineeth Sreenivasan, Alphons Joseph, Sooraj Santhosh, and Mridula Varier. The film’s editing is done by Afthar Anwar, while Sudha Sha has designed the project.
On the other hand, Sarjano Khalid was last seen in ‘Demonte Colony 2’ which earned 3.5 star rating from ETimes with an official review that read, “Demonte Colony 2 matches the energy and thrill of the original for the most part. The production value too gets an upgrade in the sequel. Just like the first film, the makers stay away from Kollywood’s horror house: the palace. The first film was set in a small house in a colony. And this time around, the events unfold in a posh, dimly lit, and red-tinted Chinese restaurant. From the cutting of vegetables to a scary aquarium, everything is viewed through a lens of dread which adds to the story’s tension. Arulnithi gets very little to do even as he plays dual roles, but he does what’s required of him.”
