'Jigarthanda DoubleX' has been on the rise since day 1, and the film has successfully reached the 50-crore mark on day 9. 'Jigarthanda DoubleX' has reportedly grossed over Rs 52 crore at the end of day 9, and the periodic gangster drama jumps well on Saturday. In Tamil Nadu, 'Jigarthanda DoubleX' featuring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah has grossed over Rs 33 crore, and the film is heading well.

Whereas, 'Japan' starring Karthi in the lead role has managed to peak on Saturday as the film's box office collection looks high when compared to the weekdays. 'Japan' has reportedly grossed close to Rs 3 crore on day 9, while the overall collection of the film stands at around Rs 29 crore. The heist thriller inspired by a real-life incident failed to earn a positive response from the audience as the screenplay of the Raju Murugan directorial looked weak.
