Mahesh Babu conveys best wishes to Suma Kanakala for Jayamma Panchayathi; launches trailer
Superstar Mahesh Babu has unveiled the trailer of Jayamma Panchayathi on Wednesday, which stars television anchor Suma Kanakala in the lead role.

Sharing the trailer on social media, the Sarkaru Vaari Paata actor wrote, “Here’s the trailer of #JayammaPanchayathi. Best wishes to @ItsSumaKanakala garu for her big screen journey! Looking forward to May 6th! (sic)” In the trailer Jayamma can be seen fighting an entire village for justice and the release trailer is an extension of that. The character can be seen finding ways to amass money for her husband’s operation. She hopes to gain some during a family function, but it doesn’t happen. When her husband says it’s better to die, she perseveres.

Talking to Hyderabad Times about her character, Suma had said, “I obviously know how to talk in Telugu but this film needed my character to speak in a Srikakulam yasa (dialect). This script fell into my lap at the exact time I wanted a break from monotony. My character Jayamma is bold; she’s fighting for a cause.”

The trailer also sees a youngster in the village trying to flirt with her daughter. The release trailer has a good dose of drama and emotions, with Suma making a comeback as an actor after a long time. Directed by Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu, Jayamma Panchayathi has music by MM Keeravani and cinematography by Anush Kumar. The film is scheduled for release worldwide on May 6th.
