Amid escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, the IPL 2025 has been suspended, prompting Michael Vaughan to suggest completing the tournament in the UK. With India's Test series against England looming, Vaughan's proposal offers a logistical solution, though the BCCI prioritizes national interest and solidarity with the government during the crisis. The remaining matches' fate remains uncertain.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has floated the idea of hosting the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in the United Kingdom, following the league’s suspension due to military tensions between India and Pakistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Friday that the tournament would be suspended for a week with immediate effect. The decision came a day after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Dharamsala was called off mid-way due to air raid alerts in neighbouring regions.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. Reacting to the development, Vaughan posted on X: "I wonder if it’s possible to finish the IPL in the UK... We have all the venues and the Indian players can then stay on for the Test series... Just a thought?"
Vaughan’s suggestion is seen as a logistical alternative, especially with India scheduled to begin a five-Test series against England starting June 20 in Leeds. The BCCI has yet to confirm when or where the remaining 16 matches (12 league and 4 playoffs) of the IPL will be played. While there’s speculation about a possible September window — if the Asia Cup is cancelled — no official word has been given.
