Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd said that the people who supply drugs will be held accountable
Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd shared in a press conference on Wednesday, “This case is a tragic reminder of the dangers of street drugs. But make no mistake, the people who supply those drugs can and will be held accountable when people overdose. Willis?DNA was predominantly found on the cocaine bag, while the fentanyl bag had a significant amount of Carson’s. I will tell you it takes time to bring these cases. There were additional investigative things that had to be wrapped up before this case could be brought.?br/>
Kansas City Police Chief Stacy Graves shared, “We have got to make sure that whatever case that we provide is the best for a successful prosecution. That’s what we have done here today. Unfortunately, sometimes, these cases, especially ones that end with these particular dynamics - they are hard to charge. “We are surprised that Jordan was charged with the deaths of his three friends,?said Jordan Willis?attorney, John Picerno
John Picerno shared a statement with The Star, “We are surprised that Jordan was charged with the deaths of his three friends. That was contrary to what the prosecuting attorney’s office told me several months ago. The probable cause statement submitted by the state is consistent with what Jordan stated happened. Jordan maintains that he is not responsible for purchasing or supplying the drugs that led to the deaths of his three friends. We are very much looking forward to the day a jury gets to hear all of the evidence in this case.?
Willis?attorney further shared that Jordan Willis is a scientist who stays alone and works from home for a hospital in New York. A source told FOX News Digital, “Jordan is a computational data scientist for HIV vaccine research. His work is solely on computers, and he works from home. It is incredibly disappointing that his job is being used against him to further the real-life Walter-White-type narrative that people are trying to create.?Walter White is an American Television character from the top-rated show Breaking Bad.
Whether Ivory Carson hired a lawyer or not is not known. Both Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson were in the Platte County detention facility and their bail was set at $100,000 bond on Thursday.
