The Green Bay Packers have decided to move on from Jaire Alexander and make him no longer part of the regular season. But quarterback Jordan Love has something else on his mind, and he opens up in the latest episode of Up & Adams.
Speaking to Kay Adams, Love expressed his feelings and said why he considers Alexander to be an important role for the team.
He said, “That's my guy right there.”
Jordan Love reveals why Jaire Alexander is an important player for the team- the reason for vouching for him
Love expressed his thoughts and said in the episode, “I need to reach out to Ja, see what the deal is. Ja, he has his own world going on. I'm going to let him handle his own business and see what's going on.”
“He's definitely a player we need back. Just the play style he plays with, and who he is on the field. I mean, that's a guy we need to have around. So, we'll see what happens,” Love further said.
Love mentioned that he would reach out to Alexander and bring the final outcome for the decision. “He’s a guy we need around,” he said.
Jordan Love highlighted his leadership skills and said he plays a pivotal role as a leader. We can say that Love adores Alexander’s production skills and play style.
“Locker room, he’s a character. That’s a guy, you never know what you’re going to get. With Ja, he’s always a guy who interacts with everybody on the team. He jokes around, but he also has that serious side to him as a competitor,” Love said in the episode.
While Jordan Love has a far different and contrary opinion from Alexander, the general manager Brian Gutekunst’s decision goes beyond everything. He said, “The player on the field is a whole other area that we would be losing if we didn't have him. I'm hoping Ja is still there with us. We'll see, but that's my guy right there.”
Highlighting Alexander’s sports career, he was the highest-paid cornerback in the 2022 season. He played 14 out of 34 games over the past two seasons. News has been reported that Alexander shall sign off a contract worth $17.5 million for 2025 and $19.5 million for 2026- but none are guaranteed.
